The purpose of this page is to update and inform the public that visits my site, about news on exhibitions, workshops, lectures, events and future plans in my career. During the next few months, it will be periodically updated, every two months at most, or even before that, as needed. As it happened last year, during the first semester of this year, some of my paintings were shown in New York, during the New York Art Expo, and I continued providing information on my activities, through agents in the United States, Canada and Spain. I’m also following up on the reproducting of some paintings, through a high definition system, and the final product is called giclee. Possibly during the next semester I will be going to the States to check on some samples of this work. In May I participated of an exhibit at the Galeria La Tuscia, in Certaldo, city of the Tuscany Region (Italy). The vernissage took place last May 13 with coverage by the local TV channel. To have access to some pictures of this exhibition, please click here. To learn about some paintings shown in this exhibition, please visit my Virtual Art Gallery, Water Color Section, and go directly to pages 5 and 6, where some of my paintings are shown, clicking here. Right now I’m working on a series of watercolors with themes of my recent travels. Some photos of the series "Italian Windows, porches and doors" are available, also at the Gallery, Section Water colors, page 7. To get in touch with some of these paintings, please click here. New series are being prepared, with scenes from Spain and France, and the cities of Prague and Budapest. By this year-end I will be participating of an exhibition in Spain, to show these series. Some workshops will be offered at other places abroad. On the second semester of 2001 a workshop will be conducted at Tuscany, Italy. According to student’s requests, 1, 2 or 5-day courses will be offered, during September. For more information, click here and get in touch with me or someone from my staff. Workshops in the United States, Argentina and other South American countries are also being organized. We are also in the production phase, to be launched during 2001/2002, of a video and a CD ROM, with tutorials on painting techniques, besides postcards with reproductions of my work and a new catalog. I also introduce in my site a page that serves as entertainment: a jigsaw puzzle with images of my work to be assembled. Do you want to try? Click here and have fun! Soon I will be moving to my new studio, a space where we will have some classes, and mainly, a place where everyone is invited to observe "in loco" the way I work. To finish, I would like to thank you all for the expressive number of visits I had in my site, besides the comments that really help to develop the content shown herewith. Suggestions and criticisms are welcome, and in case you want to get in touch with me, send me an e-mail. Regards and see you in my next newsletter.
