I place the flower buds, using a mixture of alizarin crimson, burnt Sienna and
orange red. I put a very condensed shade e take out, with the brush, a little
of this paint from the left side of the buds, in order to obtain a light effect.

I start to work a part of the background that was not worked before, i.e., inferior
right side, which will be lighter. The paper is still damp, and I mix a little
of Indian yellow, leaf green and magnesium green.

I go back to the roses, now on the upside down rose, emphasizing the orange red.
The strokes are diagonal and in curved direction.

I start to define the composition's background, making strokes in the diagonal.
I condense this background with sap green, cobalt blue and a little burnt Sienna.

I then start emphasizing the diagonal direction of the composition, add one bud,
now in a transition shade among the colors of all flowers, i.e., an orangeish
shade, using deep cadmium yellow and a little orange red.
